Death Sentence For Boston Marathon Bomber Brings Justice For Victims And Their Families

A photo showing justice doesn't discriminateAfter several hours of deliberations, a U.S. jury on Friday, May 15, sentenced 2013 Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to death by lethal injection.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, now 21, was charged with the deadly bombing attack that he carried out on April 15, 2013, with the help of his 26-year-old brother Tamerlan during 2013 Boston Marathon. The marathon bombing attack killed three people and injured more than 260, many of whom lost their limbs.

Tamerlan died after being shot by police officers and run over by a vehicle during an aggressive manhunt following the bombing.

While awarding death sentence or capital punishment to the convicts can not bring back those innocent people
who lost their lives in the hate attack/terrorist attack, let me say that it will surely give the much required solace and mental peace to the families and other near and dear ones of the victims. In addition, the verdict will strengthen the communities’ faith in the judicial system as well as discourage others from committing or supporting such heinous crimes in the future.

In wake of the pronouncement of the verdict, a family member of the a victim said there were no ‘winners’ but there was justice.

Hence, I wholeheartedly welcome the jury’s verdict in the Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s case and believe that world society has also welcomed it.
